Bold Colours of Khalsa, Haryana

Khalsa college campus in Yamunanagar was in a pretty chaotic state with years of incoherent development of buildings and a completely piecemeal approach to up-gradation work. The entire campus lacked a vision of what the college aimed to showcase which was evident in the way the campus looked and worked. We worked on creating a coherent site plan and redesign movement through the site that connected the various blocks of the college and made the campus feel like one contiguous space. Though this renovation is a Phase wise exercise due to the limited availability of funds with the college, we have tried to create a thread that binds the whole campus together through the landscape and site plan. The materials used are humble and locally available but have been laid out in well-designed patterns and forms to create a visually pleasing space that works well functionally too.
