Manmade Naturally

Situated next to Hathni Kund Barrage the land enjoys massive views of the Yamuna river and this love for water enticed the owner into having a waterbody of his own on this cliff abutting the river bed below. The only challenge was that the waterbody, even after being manmade, had to be as natural as possible !! The otherwise flat plateau was carved out and graded. Retaining walls and waterproofing to hold the water. Truckloads of local river stone to create cascades and bog areas. Decks are made as if they float over the pond. All this, then an overdose of rustic plants. Finally, the pumps were made to run. Unfortunately, these pictures have no sound in them !!
